Learn MoreSkylift employees build the best machines in the industry and take pride in what they do. Naturally, we want to support our local community along the way.
Skylift supports the city, local vocational schools and area nonprofits. We provide careers - not just jobs - in manufacturing, and our employees have the longevity to prove it. We actively recruit from Lorain County Joint Vocational School (JVS) programs, in addition to attending high school career fairs, because we believe in keeping manufacturing local.
In addition to supporting Folds of Honor, we make sure veterans have employment opportunities after their service. Skylift regularly sends job postings to veteran programs, and we are proud to say that we have veterans building our machines.
We also meet quarterly and talk weekly with instructors at Lorain County JVS. We have roughly 25 team members who went through the program.
In 2022, Skylift received the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce's Business of the Year Award. The award honors local businessses for high-quality products, strong ethical standards, leadership and community involvement.
Also in 2022, Skylift's innovation was recognized by President Biden.
